Privacy Policy

Effective from: 01.01.2026

1. General information

This Privacy Policy sets out the rules for processing the personal data of users of the online store Camping Lab, available at https://campinglab.pl, operated through the Shopify platform.

(hereinafter: the “Controller”).

  • The Controller processes personal data in accordance with applicable law, in particular Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR).
  • The Controller has not appointed a Data Protection Officer because it is not required to do so under Article 37 of the GDPR.

This document forms an integral part of the Camping Lab Online Store Terms and Conditions.

2. Scope of personal data processed

Depending on how the Store is used, the Controller may process the following personal data:

  • first and last name,
  • residential or delivery address,
  • email address,
  • telephone number,
  • data contained in the order,
  • data necessary to perform the sales contract,
  • technical data, including IP address, browser data and cookies.

The Controller does not independently process payment card or banking data — such data is processed exclusively by external payment service providers.

Providing personal data is voluntary, but necessary to enter into and perform a sales contract. Failure to provide the data may make it impossible to fulfil the order.

3. Purposes of personal data processing

Personal data is processed for the following purposes:

  • fulfilling orders and sales contracts,
  • handling payments and delivery,
  • managing the Customer account (if created),
  • contacting the Customer,
  • fulfilling accounting and tax obligations,
  • handling complaints and returns,
  • ensuring Store security and preventing abuse,
  • fulfilling obligations arising from applicable law.

Detailed rules for order fulfilment, delivery, returns and complaints are set out in the Store Terms and Conditions and the documents "Returns and Complaints" and "Shipping Policy".

4. Legal basis for data processing

  • Article 6(1)(b) GDPR — performance of a contract,
  • Article 6(1)(c) GDPR — legal obligation of the Controller,
  • Article 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interests of the Controller,
  • Article 6(1)(a) GDPR — consent (where applicable).

5. Recipients of personal data

  • store platform providers (Shopify),
  • payment service providers,
  • courier companies,
  • accounting firms,
  • hosting and email service providers,
  • analytics, marketing and advertising service providers.

These entities may act as data controllers or processors under data processing agreements.

6. Transfers of data outside the EU

Personal data may be transferred outside the European Economic Area, in particular in connection with the use of the Shopify platform and analytics and marketing tools.

  • EU Standard Contractual Clauses,
  • adequacy decisions confirming an adequate level of data protection.

7. Data retention period

  • for the duration of the contract,
  • after its termination — for the period required by law,
  • until consent is withdrawn — where processing is based on consent.

8. Rights of data subjects

  • the right of access to data,
  • the right to rectification,
  • the right to erasure,
  • the right to restriction of processing,
  • the right to data portability,
  • the right to object,
  • the right to withdraw consent,
  • the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Polish Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).

9. Cookies

  1. The Store uses cookies for the following purposes:
    • ensuring the proper operation of the Store,
    • analysing statistics,
    • marketing activities.
  2. Analytics and marketing cookies are used only after the User has given consent.
  3. The User may change cookie settings or withdraw consent at any time.

10. Data security

The Controller applies appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data.

11. Changes to the Privacy Policy

The Controller reserves the right to amend the Privacy Policy. The current version of the document is always available on the Store website.
